How It All Began

There we were, gin and tonic in hand, savoring the sweet sounds of Open Mic night — when we looked up and noticed something… off. The giant TV screens? Totally blank. Not a single flicker of light or creativity. Just big, sad rectangles. [)]
Meanwhile, the room was full of incredible musicians — but not so many “regular” folks. That’s when it hit us: what if we filled those empty screens with art? Maybe the artists would come fill out the seats. Maybe they’d bring friends. Maybe they’d even order a gin and tonic or two.
A few ideas, some light coding, and a surprisingly painless Google form later… BackgroundArtFlow.com was born. It’s art. It’s background. It’s flowing.
Now, every Thursday when you visit the Open Mic Night at the Knights of Columbus, there will be a display of local art contained within a large 60″ flatscreen TV. And great music, of course, where musical artists are trying out new things, too!
If you have some art you’d like to show, use the handy form!
